description;; aaleyah stands about 16.2 hands high, a complete hand taller than the breed average. It was obvious from the start that she was the perfect specimen. she's got the perfect dished face, a slight bulge between her optics, which gives her more room in her sinus cavity, which helps with the more arid conditions. She possesses an arched neck with a large, well-set windpipe set on a refined, clean throatlatch. she also possesses a relatively long, level croup - or top of the hindquarters, and naturally high tail carriage - on top of a deep, well-angled hip and well laid-back shoulder. she was bred more for three-day eventing than for endurance riding, horse racing, or reining. despite having the wide set, more muscular hindquarters that a reining arabian would have, she never took to reining.
history;; when she was foaled, her breeder remarked about her size, unable to believe how big the filly was, despite both her parents being full-blood Arabians and being on the smaller side. in fact, her breeder had a hard time registering the gray filly to the breed's registry. but, he finally was able to get a place in the association for his little beauty. Aaleyah had a pretty normal growing period. she grew remarkably well, fast for a foal. she had no soundness issues at all as she grew older, her body never looking gangly or gawky at all. However, at eighteen months of age, her owner suddenly died, leaving his entire herd, her sire and dam included, to fend for themselves. Aaleyah, of incredible body and sound of mind, decided that she wouldn't let humans dictate what would happen to her, and so, she made her escape in the dark of night. she roamed the wilds for months, learning as she went along, remembering. she knew that, eventually, she would be able to settle down and protect herself from the predators and stallions who wanted to see her suffer.
